In Brazil, I've been noticing this for a while. The product is downsized, while the container size stays the same.
I don’t particularly like opera
Fair enough. It isn't for everyone! I like some opera, perhaps because it reminds me of my grandparents 😊🌻
I love listening to all kinds of music except … Sorry l couldn’t remember words in English right now I will come back very soon for this matter
Ah, yes. Like you, I enjoy listening to most kinds of music, but there is one that I'm not keen on. It's called 'garage'. Not my cup of tea!

In Brazil it's been happening for a looooong time ...
So frustrating! They think we won't notice...
I am in love with someome or i am being in love with someone
I would never say "I'm being in love with...". There is one case I can think of where you might say "being in love with", but it wouldn't be with "I am". It could be used as a gerund, forming the subject of a sentence: Being in love with him is a wonderful thing! 😊🌻
an English teacher told me that ' I'm loving MC Donald,' was wrong. I suppose she didn't love it or she wasn't loving MC Donald🤷🏻♀️
On the surface, it certainly seems wrong, but it's not that simple. It's very common for native speakers to say "I'm loving..." when referring to something they are enjoying in the moment. If you talking about a general emotion, it is indeed wrong! Context is everything 😁
Very informative thank you.
Glad it was helpful 😊🌻

Can i get a hii from the queen?
Hi! 👋😊🌻 Speaking of queens, I can't get used to the Queen being dead. I still refer to her often and have to remind myself that now it's the King! 😬
Rarely l have had My husband has done a lot of times during working as a postman and also lifting bricks and trees in the roads away for others cars passing this job he should not have done it or involved in ( l was at the scene ) I said; don’t do it but he kept doing to help others To me is l think down to council job and police job their responsibilities that’s why he has damaged his back so many times that is a fool I don’t care but he always cares lifting big trees and big bricks in road by himself some one throws big bricks out in the middle of the road he removed them for other cars passing for safety I don’t care for that !!
I'm flummoxed by how your mouth doesn't move when you talk.
Why are u laughing?
Yes! 👌🌻
Mam this would still has been a dilemma for me for a long time 😶 please now please only you could get me out of this! I'll put my queries one by one. 1) Mm she *WOULD or WILL* be washing clothes right now (assumptions in the present moment without thinking or offhand ) 2) Mm..She *WOULD/MUST/WILL have been sleeping that's why she didn't open the door yesterday *( here also I'm making some assumptions but with firm logic because she didn't open the door so i want her to be in the positioned of sleeping 😅 I mean I don't know but we have to sometimes just have to say for the sake of SAYING for no reason why we're giving reason without proof but it just should not be illogical)* 3) Suppose i visited a palace with my friends and i see some pieces of jewelry of the queen now i say to my friend "Hey buddy look at this, how pretty the queen must have been or would have been when she wore/wears/or even would have wore" My dilemma and confusion is here I'm having to use modal in both clause i mean i feel like using here so I know i could be wrong so here i have "ZERO PROOF" seeing jewelery can i describe that situation i want to express it? Please mam it would be sooo useful for me if you answer me then! And also would like if you give some practical examples on this query! 🙏 Thanks in advance
I understood because "at home" we could carelessly do that but what if this happens somewhere outside? Suppose i leave my wallet in the bus or in the mall so should i use LEFT, FORGOT OR EVEN MISSED because of course i wouldn't do it deliberately then?
❤

Hi Emma! Thank you! I am taking my imaginary hat off!🎩⬇😊I have heard that the verb "meet" you shouldn`t use when it refers to an action frequently happening to familiar persons. When I meet someone, it means we see each other for the first time, unlike in Russian where we use the verb in all cases. Is my assumption correct?🤔❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍P.S. When we say: I`ll see him/her/you tomorrow, It generally means we need something to say or hand each other, just in non-sexual sphere!
Hi Eugene! We do use 'meet' for frequent actions with familiar people. I could say: I meet my friends for lunch every Saturday. You could also say: I see my friends for lunch every Saturday. / I have lunch with my friends every Saturday. 😊🌻
Thanks mam! But could i say "I can't be getting or understanding in the context of understanding something? Because sometimes we understand the process of something which takes time to be understood and gained knowledge so???
You're welcome! There are some cases where you can use stative verbs in the continuous form, but you need to get it exactly right, or it sounds like a big mistake. You could say 'I'm not getting it', meaning 'I'm finding it difficult to understand it', but you wouldn't say 'I can't be getting it'. Sometimes native speakers do say 'I'm not really understanding it'. They do this to emphasise that they are finding it difficult. I wonder if this is more common in US English than UK English 🤔 As a learner, I would avoid it because it is too easy to use it incorrectly.
I am interested ❤
Great! 😊🌻
Feel & feeling
Yes 👌🌻
We can also be fed up ‘on’ something. Eg fed up on high-protein supplements.
I wouldn't use 'fed up' in that context, but you could say 'fed' 😊🌻
Both are correct
Yes! The meaning is different, but both are correct 😊🌻

Funny that I thought this only happened in my country.😅 I looked it up and it turns out that there's also a Spanish term for it: reduflación. 😄
One of the cases of shrinkflation here is the weight of panetón, a kind of sweet bread of Italian origin we used to eat only at Christmas and New Year, but that nowadays we can find all year round (apparently we consume it more than Italians do). The brand I usually buy originally weighed 1 Kg, then went down to 950 grams, then 900, and this year it weighs 850 g, and on top of that, seems like it has fewer raisins and less fruit in it.
Interesting. I didn't know the Spanish term 😁
I love panettone! It's everywhere in Spain at Christmas time, but I haven't noticed it year-round. I think that also counts as shrinkflation. I see it a lot with things like pizza. I'm sure they put fewer toppings on nowadays 😡

Dear Madam Teacher, thanks a lot for this great lesson and so interesting word. Shrinkflation - could be kind of : cheat or deception or swindle ( my personal humble opinion). Unfortunately, in this time - is it often. Thank you again and have a nice weekend.
You're welcome. I completely agree! I find it very dishonest. It's like they think we won't notice... I hope you're having a nice weekend too 😊🌻
